LIFE >< LINE is the experience of a divine consciousness that “tries itself out” in the form of a line that originates, grows, and changes constantly through many evolutionary dimensions.
Its path, from the beginning, splits into two lines, both sides of the same coin: one pursues rational thought, defined by the empirical logic of experience,
the other the emotional thought, vibrating through interconnected sensations and emotions.
Like a human being, the line cannot escape the passage of time or turns of events, yet, it is faced with the responsibility of a crossroads that one glimpses infinite potential scenarios.
The beginning of all times carries with it a load of mystery whose undisputed fascination seems to have always moved the intellectual activity of the world. Investigating the origins of time seems to be an imperative from which the Man of art and science, endowed with intellect and sensitivity, can hardly escape.
The desire to delve into the unknown necessarily involves confronting an unstable labyrinth, a metaphor for human existence and the unknown meanderings of the mind. The term μεταφορά, in its etymological roots, holds the intention to carry beyond, to traverse one meaning to literally translate into another.
All Life in a Flower. In an elegant gait that seems to be an echo of an ancient iconographic procession, figures parade within a complex installation that manifests, through a progressive unraveling, the importance of being aware of the present moment and its potential, within a world in which beauty seems to keep its fleeting character intact, and the inhabitants, plagued by transience and inconstancy, struggle to preserve their emotional intimacy without compromise.
What if the revolution of the world really came through the improvement of each individual? This is the thought induced by Andrea Prandi with his work “Flowers of the Earth,” an installation that invites the viewer to a deep inner reflection on the meaning of collaboration and change.
